Since starting my ISM journey there have been many things I’ve been made aware of. I have learned how to make a proper resume that will help me get a mentor in the real estate work field and through the research I’ve done so far in class I’ve learned that real estate also consists of doing your own research on buyers, properties, and sellers which is something I’m glad to have found out about early on in my research. This week I’ve also successfully finished my first research assessment, which makes me proud due to the fact that I’m learning the benefits research offers when reflected on.Some questions still left unanswered after doing my research are, what does a day in the life typically look like for a real estate agent and how do you know if to become a broker or agent. So far there haven’t been many challenges brought my way, except for finding enough articles that will help me know if Real estate is an industry I could thrive in. I hope to overcome this by reading articles based on personal experiences from agents who have been in the real estate world for a couple years now. Next week I hope that after reading and annotating five articles based on real estate for my assessment my questions will be answered and that I’ll have a clearer understanding on what is to come in my future if I choose to pursue this career. I personally also plan on researching opportunities in my area that will benefit me in the college application process.
